Full review

The Camco Underride Propane Tank Cover is purpose-built for RV owners who want to shield their propane tanks from road debris, weather exposure, and the general wear that comes with constant travel. Designed specifically for underride-style tank setups found on many travel trailers and fifth wheels, this cover wraps around the exposed tank assembly mounted beneath the trailer frame, protecting both the tanks and the regulator components from grime, moisture, and UV damage. Its fitted design accounts for the unique mounting position of underride tanks, which sit lower and more exposed than tanks housed in front-mounted compartments, making this cover a practical solution for an often-overlooked vulnerable spot on the rig.

Constructed from heavy-duty, weather-resistant vinyl material, the cover is built to withstand the rigors of highway travel, including flying gravel, dust, and road salt that can accelerate corrosion on tank valves and fittings. The fabric is reinforced to resist tearing and cracking even after repeated exposure to sun and temperature swings, helping the cover hold up season after season rather than becoming brittle or faded within a single year of use. Secure strapping or elastic hem construction keeps the cover snugly in place while driving, preventing it from flapping loose or sliding off during transit, which is a common frustration with generic or improvised tank covers.

Installation is straightforward, requiring no tools or permanent modifications, so owners can quickly slip the cover over the tank assembly before heading out and remove it just as easily when access to the tanks or regulator is needed for refilling or maintenance. Beyond its functional protection, the cover also gives the underside of the trailer a cleaner, more finished look by concealing the tank hardware from view. For RVers who store their rigs outdoors between trips or who log significant mileage on rough roads, the Camco Underride Propane Tank Cover offers a low-cost way to extend the life of propane components and reduce the chances of costly damage to fittings, hoses, or regulators hidden beneath the trailer.
